Kebab Grill - Indian fusion

They've recently opened their new outlet in Business Bay and they invited me to try out the food.

I really liked the interiors here. They've used shades of green, brown, and white and I'm a fan of this colour scheme.

This restaurant has a concept of fusion Indian food. What I liked about their setup was the fact that the plates and cutlery on the table was wrapped and kept in plastic for hygiene reasons, and only opened after we sat at the table.

For our appetiser, we started with the KG special prawn which is basically peri peri prawn. These were king prawns and I really loved their taste.

Next we had the basil and olive smoked chicken. It is somewhat like malai chicken tikka but with basil and olive. The flavours are subtle although really nice. The quantity was good too.

They also have fresh coconut water. It was served chilled and I really liked it.

For the mains we had British chicken tikka masala. The gravy was delicious, and the chicken was scrumptious too.  It was served along with naan.

The other dish we had for our mains was whistling meat with saffron rice. This is a mutton dish prepared in a red spicy gravy. It was made really well and served with saffron rice which was a very good combo together.

Moving to the sweet endings, we had motichoor parfait rolls with ice-cream. The motichoor is stuffed inside a filo dough roll, and served along with ice-cream. The filo dough roll as well as the ice-cream overpowered the motichoor. I did expect better.

Lastly, we had the gulab jamun cheesecake. This more than made up for my disappointment of the previous dessert. I've had gulab jamun cheesecake at a few places, but this was definitely the best one I've had. It also has some sweet crispies in the dish which totally complements the soft texture of the cheesecake. It was sinful.

The service too was good. The staff was polite and attentive.

They also offer some of their preparations as marinated options which you can take home and cook fresh.

There is a parking lot right in front of the restaurant which has 2 hours of free parking.
