Bidaya - healthy cafe

If you're someone who is into health and fitness, you'll love this place. It is located inside Gravity Calisthenics Gym where I was invited to check out their food.  We started with a smoothie called Berrylicious which is made from strawberries and blueberries. I'm a fan of berries and this smoothie tasted great. It is also very low on calories. The other smoothie that I tried was called Leila . It is made from Nutella and banana and although I'm not a fan of banana, this actually did taste quite good. It is a quite high in calories though and usually had as a meal itself. For fans of peanut butter, the Peanut Butter Bomb is a shake worth trying. We then tried their healthy sandwiches . The mushroom one and the beef one was really good. The chicken sandwich wasn't too bad either. These were lightly toasted. For their salads, there was an interesting spicy beef salad . It's got a lot of veggies and beef. It is served along with a sauce with a hint of a Tabasc...

This is a cafe in Karama that has newly opened and I was invited here to try it out.  We started with the egg puffs which were really good. It had a nice egg masala inside.  The chicken samosas too were quite flavourful. We then tried the zinger club sandwich which had a nice crunch to it and tasted good too. The fresh chicken patty burger was saucy and nice. We also tried the dynamite chicken here. It is fried chicken topped with dynamite sauce. It had a mild spicy flavour to it. What I really loved here was the Brownie cold coffee . If you're a fan of cold coffee and want a bit of a cakey flavour in it, then you should definitely try it out.  The SB signature cold coffee too is quite good. They have some nice faloodas too. We had the gudbud falooda and the royal falooda . They've got ice-cream, fruits, dry-fruits, and lots more. These were fabulous. For chai lovers, do try their SB signature masala chai . I was expecting it to be just like regular one, but ...

I had heard about this place and wanted to go check it out.  We wanted to grab a bite and were passing by so decided to step in. We weren't here for shisha, but just some food.  For starters, we ordered the buffalo chicken wings and masala fries.  The chicken wings were served in a sweet and spicy gravy (which had capsicum) in it, along with bread on the side. How on earth are these buffalo chicken wings?! The chicken also felt a bit under cooked.  The masala fries took about half an hour to be served. When they were served, we asked if these are masala fries or regular fries, and they confirmed saying that these are masala fries. They had no "masala" on it. Salt and pepper is not the masala that is expected for masala fries. I could order regular fries and ask for salt and pepper on the side. Also, the fries weren't crispy. They suggested us the rice bowls as one of their specialities. We chose the spicy shrimp rice bowl. It was shrimp prepared in a semi-dry s...

The Burrow

Having seen some lovely pictures of this insta-worthy place, we decided to check it out. We drove as per the map and it took us correctly, although it is located in an area where you'd least expect it to be.  It seems like a flowery cafe, but I'd say it is primarily a flower shop which also serves coffee. It is done up really well with flowers all over and some decorative stuff too; at the same time, not overly feminine. They have various flowers that you can buy. Not just that, but they also have a few games, and a scrapbook to draw on.  They have a really good selection of coffees, although the menu doesn't have any bites. It is just a handful of bakery items which are displayed at the counter that are available.  While we waited for our food, they got us some water and dates. I had the iced pumpkin spice latte which was quite good.  The gingerbread latte was something I totally loved.  The hot chocolate was quite good too.  We also had the mozzarel...

Circle Cafe

We were looking for a nice cafe for some light snacks and came across this one as we were in the area.  I really liked the ambience of this one. We went during the day time and there was ample of natural light coming in; combined with the earthy colours of the cafe, it gave a nice vibe.  We started with a cappuccino . It had a nice art on it and tasted good too.  I ordered the chia power smoothie . It had chia seeds, almond milk, berries, honey, yogurt, and some vanilla syrup. I totally loved this one. It was healthy, refreshing, and filling too.  For a light bite, we ordered an egg dish. Unfortunately we found a strand of hair in it and pointed it out to them. They apologised profusely and took it away immediately. They asked if we'd like it to be replaced with any other dish and we chose the Egg Royale. As we waited, they got us some crisps to munch on.  The Egg Royale was delicious. Nice runny poached eggs just the way I like it, smoked s...

This is a delivery review.  I ordered some food from here via the Zomato app.  The ultimate veggie burger was good enough. I liked the flavourful patty. It could have been a bit more saucy though.  I took the add-on fries with the burger. The fries were totally soggy by the time they were delivered and I didn't like them at all. The other item that I had was the masala noodles. These were average. I did expect some more vegetables in it, and some more spices too.  It was the delivery time that I had a major issue with. I placed the order at 9:06pm. The estimated delivery time was 45 mins (which is still a bit on the higher side considering my delivery location was Mankhool). I called them after 45 mins and they said that the driver is on the way and I should get it within 15 mins. After 15 more mins (totally 1 hour), I called them, but they didn't pickup the phone despite calling multiple times.  Finally after a total of 76 mins (from the time...
