I was looking out for some sushi places and stumbled across this one. They have seating indoors as well as outdoors. The view outside is nice, but it was quite chilly that day so we sat inside. It has a nice ambience. We started with some wakame salad . Love the marinated seaweed and the little crunch that it has to it.  The shrimp gyoza was pretty good too. Was expecting the stuffing to be a bit more juicier. The sake sashimi had fresh salmon. They've got some interesting rolls, and we had the double crunch roll . This is a shrimp tempura roll with cucumber and spicy mayo topped with tobiko and scallion. It was crunchy as the name says and flavourful.  The salmon tataki roll was nice too. It was made with seared salmon, cucumber and spicy mayo, and tataki sauce. The dynamite roll was a crispy futomaki roll made with spicy salmon. This is an Asian cafe, but more specifically a Korean and Japanese coffee shop that we were invited to. This was my first time to an Asian coffee shop and I was pleasantly surprised to see the offerings there.  We started with a yuzu soda . The soda itself looked similar to lemonade, and in fact is made form a citrus fruit too, but tasted a bit different. It doesn't feel all that sour, and the way they made it felt refreshing.  If you want to try something new, they have the Korean Plum soda too, and this did taste pretty good.  They also have a cold brew green tea that takes a few hours to brew. This too was something that you might have to develop a bit of a taste for, and might not appeal at first go; definitely not if you don't like green tea.  Then they got us some  Thai ice-tea  which I totally enjoyed as I'm a fan of this in general. This is a fantastic restaurant nestled in one of the lanes in Karama. I hadn't quite heard about it before; it isn't all that popular among food bloggers for some reason. One day a friend and I was just thinking what to have and we thought of having Korean food. I searched online and this one popped up near us. I never knew there was an authentic Korean restaurant in Karama. Yes, it's authentic.  As soon as we stepped in, it didn't feel like a restaurant at all. It felt somewhat like a lobby / waiting area of an hotel. We went to the counter and said we'd like a table for two. He told us to wait while he said he'll go and check which room is available. Affordable Korean cuisine is what this restaurant is. They've got quite a variety to choose from, but since I was a bit confused as to what to order, I ordered one of their combos - the Koryo Combo Box. It consists or noodles, rice, 2 mains, 3 banchans (salads) and a soft drink. All this for 35 AED which didn't sound too bad. You have a choice of few noodles to select from. I selected the glass noodles. For mains - I selected a fish and a prawn. The fish was really very good. The prawn wasn't bad, but the quantity of the prawn in the dish was quite less.
