If you've heard about this cafe, there is a good chance that you heard that it is based on the F.R.I.E.N.D.S theme. Though they do not explicitly promote it as one, you can see their logo has a striking resemblance to the fictional "Central Perk" cafe form the series. They have also used the word "friends" prominently in different instances in their marketing which would lead you to believe so.  I was invited here as one of the bloggers for a review. When I entered, I did not quite see a similarity between this place and the fictional cafe from the series; there was that orange couch though. I think that is pretty much where the resemblance ends.  The place is called "Cross Cultural Cafe" because it is a multi-cuisine restaurant.  We started with some lemon mint juice which was refreshing and not too tangy, but a bit sweetish.  We then had the sambusek which were not too bad.  I quite liked the hara bhara kebab though. This is a small restaurant that serves Indian Arabic as well as Filipino food. In fact, it also has two separate menus. We started with some fish manchurian . Usually I've had just chicken or veg, so fish was interesting to try out. It was soft and made really well. The flavours were good too. The quantity was also generous. The Bombay kebab caught my attention and I had to try it out. It is a flat kebab that is a tad bit crispy and has mixed vegetables in it. Just a tad bit spicy and served with chutney on the side which really added to the taste. I'm a fan of biryanis; well, who isn't? They have the mutton kebab biryani in the menu and I was excited to try it out. I asked the waiter if it is just kebab and rice or if it has masala too. He said it does have masala. With so many restaurants offering weekend breakfasts / brunches, Cherrie Blossom definitely stands out for its views. We saw the breakfast offer on their Facebook page , and given the selection of the menu for the price of AED 37, we were quite excited. The views there are breath-taking, and going there just for the views itself is worth it. Initially we couldn't find the exact location, as we followed the location on Zomato which just says Jumeirah Fishing harbour, so obviously we didn't reach there. I've been to the Grand Barbeque Restaurant and the food was delicious. The Grand Barbeque express is their home delivery wing which I was really looking forward to try out. Ordered a vegetarian meal. It consists of a starter, roti/naan, a mixed vegetable, a dal, rice, a sweet, pickle, and salad. Also ordered a veg biryani with it. The first thing that I noticed is that the box that it came in was really huge as compared to the usual ones. From dim sums to paya and white chocolate mousse to shrikhand; this place had one of the widest variety, not just in terms of number of items, but also number of cuisines (at least for that price point). I'm talking about the 'Grand Barbeque Buffet Restaurant'. I was invited here for the buffet during Ramadan .  As soon as I entered, I felt there was something grand about it.
