Asha's - Maryah Island
Asha's is a well known chain of restaurants and they recently launched a new menu called Himachal to Ladakh that is there until the 26th of December 2019 across all their outlets. We started with some refreshing mocktails. I liked the one which had chili and coconut in it. It was actually spicy, and if you want to try something different, this is a good choice. Then came the Thukpa soup which is originally a Nepali/Tibetan soup but they prepare it with their own touch to it. They add some red chilli, garam masala, and lemon to it. It has some noodles in it too, and all of this really brought about a very nice flavour to the soup. It had an Indian touch to it while still preserving the core Nepali taste. Next were the Ladakhi dumplings . This were chicken dumplings that had a thick curry to it which was made from onion and tomato masala.
