Docker cafe is located near the cruise terminal which is about 2 miles from Marina cubes where most of the restaurants in Port Rashid are located. A friend of mine invited me to try out the restaurant.   At the time of writing this post, Docker Cafe is the only restaurant in the cruise terminal area. Fun fact: It is one of QE2's life boats that they've used and build a bit on it to make this cafe.  We started with some karak chai as we had a look at the menu and decided what to order. The chai was really nice, and had the right amount of spices in it.  To start with, we had the dynamite prawns . These are served in a bit different way than usual. These are really saucy, and despite the small bun and the fries that they're served with this was a lot of sauce even then. This cafe is located on the newly opened port Rashid which is really scenic.  We had going to port Rashid just to chill and since most of the places were closed (as it was pretty late) we ended up going to this cafe.  The cafe not only has seating on the ground floor but also on the first floor which is where we sat so that we could get a good view of port Rashid.  We had gone there primarily to have a warm beverage and ordered a hot cuppa karak tea . The tea was not bad, but it could have been better.  I also felt a little hungry, so we ordered a hotdog . It was served along with some fries. The fries were okay, but the hotdog was just not upto the mark; it felt extremely dry, and there was mainly just bread and very less flavour to it.  It can be a bit hard to call the waitress if you're sitting upstairs.  The staff is accommodative. Not too friendly, but not rude either.  Go there primarily for the view and the biker vibe. ...

This isn't just another café, but they know their coffee well. They've got different types of beans and if you're looking for one that has a particular amount of acidity or body to it, they can recommend it to you.  They've got different types of coffeemakers like the chemex , V60 etc.  We had a flat white which we really liked. This is a really "sweet" place offering a wide variety of interesting desserts.  Let me first start by telling about the location though. It is located at the Port Rashid Harbour, and you get a fantastic view of the Harbour from here. It feels very calm, and as if you have come away from the city.  That being said, the approach road hasn't really been built (at the time of writing this blogpost), and while going there you might think that there is nothing here, or you have definitely lost your way, but keep going a bit further, and then you will see a patch of restaurants; that's where this one is located as well.
