Cioccolat Italiani

Italian Chocolate... it doesn't get any simpler than this. Did I say "simpler"; I meant 'sinful'.
We were in the neighbourhood for some dinner when we noticed this Italian dessert place. When my friend saw the name, she immediately recognized it as the place she used to visit in Italy. It's the real deal!
As soon as you step in, you see the lovely display of various bakery items and also the chocolate tap. That's when you know that this is going to be really good.

The interiors feel cozy and at the same time classy.

We were spoilt for choice. The menu includes waffles, chocolate shots, gelato, crepes, coffees, speciality coffees, various types of hot chocolate (Yes, types), and much more. As you can see, we were spoilt for choice. After much pondering we decided on a few - Tortino caldo al cioccolato, waffle con gelato, and a cappuccino.

The tortino caldo al cioccolato consists of a warm chocolate fondant cake which is accompanied by a scoop of gelato on the side and some melted chocolate.
You pour the melted chocolate on the fondant cake and then you start your trip towards a guilty indulgence. One dig into it and there's chocolate oozing all out. There's chocolate inside, there's chocolate outside...and then, you're in heaven! Yeah, stay there for a bit, have a spoon of gelato - the one served with it - which perfectly complements it and then you're ready for some more of the indulgence.

Moving on to Waffle con Gelato which is a waffle served with three scoops of gelato. We chose coconut, vanilla, and milk chocolate. This too, obviously comes with melted chocolate on the side. These are freshly made Italian waffles, and of-course the gelato makes it even more delicious. With three different flavours you get a different taste with each bite. Also, once you pour the melted chocolate over the gelato, it hardens forming a sort of a shell over it that you break to get to your gelato and then continue enjoying it with the hot waffle.

Now coming to the cappuccino, which I initially though would be a let down compared to the rest, but no, it wasn't. This one was a tad bit bitter compared to your regular non-Italian one. This was creamy too, and I wondered how they made it that well and why doesn't such Cappuccino exist everywhere.

With that, ended our journey of chocolate indulgence. So sinful, the taste still lingers on my taste buds as I write this...
