Now there are many seafood restaurants, but this one focuses on particularly Indonesia seafood.
It's a small, cozy place with wooden tables and chairs that give an Asian feel to it.
The staff was prompt in attending to us.
For starters we ordered the Risol and Tempe Mendoan. While waiting for our food, they gave us some prawn crackers with a spicy sauce!
The Risol is a crispy spring roll of Prawns and Vegetables. I really liked it as the the taste of the filling inside was prominent and it was well cooked too. The Tempe Mendoan is Fried Soya Bean with spring onion in the batter. By itself it tasted okay, but when had with the sauce with chillis it bring out more of the flavor.

As for the drinks, they recommended their ice tea which they make in-house. They have two flavour - lemon, and lemon with mint. We ordered one each since not many places make the ice tea in-house. Sadly, the ice tea wasn't anything out of the ordinary. It tasted similar to the ones we'd get anywhere else.
Moving on...An Indonesian meal would seem incomplete without ordering some laksa; so we ordered the Seafood one. It has a coconut milk base, and has mix seafood, tofu, boiled egg, and pok choy in it, and is served in a huge bowl. It was really delicious and very comforting.

As for the mains, one of things we ordered was the Mie Gemuk, which is a dish of thick Yakisoba noodles with seafood, egg and vegetables. The noodles were cooked well and you could get the authentic Indonesian flavor. The prawns in it were delicious too and the squids weren't that rubbery surprisingly.
Then came the fried fish - a whole Hamour. As can be seen from the pic, it looked mouth-watering and so it was when we had it. It was served along with a spicy sauce, some vegetables with peanut sauce and rice.

The final dish for the mains that we had was the Udang Balado. It is sauteed prawns with vegetables in a special chilli sauce. This one was really yummy. The prawn still had the shell on which we needed to peel off, but due to this it certainly retained its rich flavors well.

To satiate our sweet tooth, there were quite a few traditional Indonesian options; some also which weren't yet in the menu. One of them was the Putu Ayu which is steamed coconut cupcakes. It was soft & spongy and mildly sweet. The other one was the Pisang Coklat which is something like a spring roll with a filling of chocolate and banana. It was served with vanilla ice-cream on the side which complimented it really well. The flavor of banana wasn't over-powering, but mild, so for those who aren't all that fond of banana (like myself) would still like it.

A very good experience overall. If you're looking for some authentic Indonesian seafood then this is your place.
