Wagamama - Asian food inspired by the flavours of Japan

Wagamama - a restaurant that's famous for Japanese inspired Asian cuisine - I wanted to try for a long time, and finally got a chance to go here. It is located in the 'Golden Mile' mall in Palm Jumeirah and has ample parking in the basement. They have a nice seating arrangement which is partially enclosed and a part that is partially open, as well as outside seating.
To start with, we ordered Edamame and a Lollipop Prawn Kushiyaki.
For the drinks we had the super green and a 'fruit' fresh juice.
Once we were done with the order, the waiter wrote the code for our respective dishes on our table mats so that the server knows which one to serve whom. I found this bit really interesting.

The steamed Edamame beans are coated with chilli garlic salt and tasted fresh and spicy. The Lollipop Prawn Kushiyaki are skewers of grilled prawn marinate in lemongrass, lime and chilli and were really delicious. I would certainly recommend it.

The super green juice contains apple, mint, celery, and lime. It tasted too healthy so unless you're a total health freak you may not quite like this one.
The other one though, which was just called "fruit", had apple, orange, and passion fruit in it, tasted good.

After coming to such a place, one can hardly resist ordering the Ramen. So we went for the Chilli Ramen which is noodles in a spicy chicken broth. The red onions, spring onions and chillies bring about the spicy flavour to it. The chicken in it was well cooked and tasted good too.

Then we ordered a coconut sea-food broth. The good part was that it had huge chunks of prawns, salmon, squid and scallops. Not many places are so generous with the amount of sea-food in it, so I really liked this and it tasted really nice as well.

Saving the best for the end, here it comes. These two curries that we ordered were irresistible.
One of them was the Surendra's curry - Yasai (vegetable). We ordered this on the recommendation of the chef and we just couldn't get enough. It is a hot and spicy green curry with Jalapeno peppers, served with steam rice. We later got to know that it is named after one the head chef in one of their London outlets. It is a bit spicy; not the chilli spicy, but other spices and I definitely recommend ordering this one. It has a bit of an Indian taste to it.

The other curry was the Katsu curry - chicken. It's got chicken coated in breadcrumbs and covered in curry sauce. This is mildly spicy and the crispy chicken goes well with the curry. It is served with sticky rice and a salad on the side. It's a tad bit similar to the Surendra's curry, but less spicy.

As for the dessert, we had the Mochi balls. It is small balls of ice-cream  wrapped in a layer of sticky rice. I was having this for the first time, and the menu description just did not do justice to the dish. It tasted heavenly.
It comes in three flavours - chocolate with mint or coconut ice-cream, strawberry, and macha (green-tea). We loved it so much that we ordered another plate. It is served with chocolate sauce which has a mild hint of wasabi to it. You must certainly try this one out.
