 They're recently re-branded Koyla rooftop as Level 8. We were invited here to try out their food and experience the place It is located alongside the pool on the top floor (8th floor). You can see Burj Khalifa at a distance and a view of the Ras Al Khor area. They have good shisha. I had the kiwi paan, and also tried the coconut vanilla, as well as the peach and they were good.  The food was average though. We tried the cheese balls, chilli chicken, chicken manchurian, stuffed chilli, and spicy peanuts for starters. The peanuts were good, and so was the manchurian. The rest could have been better.  For the mains we had the chicken korma and fried rice which was decent. Among the cocktails, I had tequila sunrise which was good, and the ginlet which was okay the first time, but the second one that they got tasted better. The place has a desi vibe to it. The valet parking is not free for Koyla, but you can park yourself for free in the basement.

 This is a lovely place and I love the ambience here. It feels classy. They have ladies night too, and I went there with a few of my friends. Ladies get 3 drinks free and the food is at a discounted price.  The drinks were good. Although some did feel a bit watered down.  I had the berry mocktail which was really good. It had a a generous amount of crushed berries in it.  We also liked the edamame and the fries.  The sushi was not bad.  The staff is rude and uncooperative though. We asked for some comfortable chairs as a couple of us just got stools without the backrest. There was an empty table beside us that had these extra chairs. The staff said that the table is reserved and they cannot give us the chairs. Nobody came and sat on that table throughout the duration of our visit. 

I've been to this place before and went here again as a friend of mine invited me.  The ambience is nice and you'll like it especially during winters, since it is open air.  We reached there around 8pm and it was about 9:20pm by the time we got our food.  The chili chicken was quite good. It did have ample amount of masala in it which sort of overpowered the chicken though. We had the chilli fish too, and usually I'm a fan of this but I did not like it much here. It had a bit of smell.  The mutton seekh kebabs were not bad, but they could have been more flavourful.  The biryani too was just about average and not something I would look forward to.  I did not like the service here. The staff did not seem very professional, and it gave a feeling that they were just doing it for the heck of it.  There were a few items that weren't available and they could have been a bit more polite about it.  If you're looking for a place...

Neos is located on the 63rd floor of the hotel and when they invited me here, I was really thrilled primarily for the views from here. The moment the doors of the elevator open and you step in, you get the feeling that you've come to a classy place. It all looks opulent, but they have not overdone it which is a really good thing.  There is seating on almost a 360 degree periphery on the restaurant. From one side you can see the Burj Khalifa area and the other side is the boulevard street view (which isn't  anything raveworthy.   This review is primarily about the views.  Well, I did have a mocktail - the Jumping Goat - a very catchy name. It has got cold brew, cocoa tea, honey, and strawberry. Being a fan of cold brew, I really liked it. This is a poolside lounge that's located in Melia hotel at the rooftop. They invited me to try out the food here. They have an outdoor seating area as well as one indoor, both of which are smoking areas. We started with some cocktails. The first one was the mango mojito . It was my first time to try this one and it did taste really good. It's good for those who don't want a very lemony mojito. The other one was called Devil . It was a unique combination of watermelon and chili along with vodka. It was served in a glass along with two chillies on the side to make it look like devil ears. I really found this interesting and the spicy flavor was nice. It's not like your regular cocktail, so if you like to try something new, then only order it. This place has come up where one of our most favourite places the music room used to be. The place has a more desi feel to it with Indian bands playing love music intermittently.  The ambience is mostly the same except for the addition of a few quirky quotes here and there.  What made me check this place out is that (at the time of writing this post) on every Tuesday they have drinks for 10 dirhams . Of-course these are selected beverages, i.e. one or two brands of each kind of alcohol but I think that's a sweet deal. They have 4 or 5 options on beer as far as I remember.
