Freez your cravings

Having visited a few of their outlets and really liking their desserts, I was thrilled when they invited me for the opening of their new outlet in Al Jaddaf.  This is located near Goldstate hotel and the area is still developing; it may be a tad bit difficult to find without the map.  I'm always over-whelmed by the variety of their offerings. After giving it a long thought, I finally settled for the Lotus milkshake . They serve their (large) milkshakes in Nutella jars which really feels satisfying. Of-course I totally loved the milkshake which was huge.  View this post on Instagram A post shared by Famished Explorer [ UDIT ] (@uditss) on Jul 30, 2018 at 2:05am PDT They do have the red velvet shake too, and you can have it in the huge jar if you're a fan. Personally though, I didn't enjoy it all that much. The flavours seemed a bit off for my liking.  For pistachio lovers, they have a wide variety of options too. We tried out the...

Keventers Milkshakes - Burjuman

Image
Don't we all just love milk shakes?! Now what makes this place different from the others is that you can take the bottle with you, and it is a really nice glass bottle.  They have some really interesting flavours on their menu, like lotus , tutti-frutti , fig & honey , Nutella marshmallow , Ferrero , choco chip , avocado honey and many more.  They also have add-ons which you can add to your shakes like Oreo , chocolate syrup , vanilla ice-cream . The Ferrero with the espresso add-on tastes really nice. It gives a chocolate flavor with a hint of coffee.  They've also launched some new flavours for Ramadan which are Banoffee , date original , caramel popcorn and more. We found the caramel popcorn to be a bit too sweet.  I had the mint oreo milkshake . This one was my favourite. It was different from the others; it felt really refreshing. The good thing is that it does not feel too sweet towards the end which happens with other milkshakes at times...

Freez - Al Khail

If you're looking to satisfy your sweet-tooth without breaking your wallet, this is the place to go. They've got some great cakes, milkshakes, pancakes, crepes, and more.  I had been to their outlet long ago, and had loved it. They recently invited me to try out this one too. We started with their crazy brownie . It is a brownie topped with ice-cream and chocolate sauce and Nutella. Words can barely describe how good it was. We couldn't keep our hands off it.  A post shared by Famished Explorer [ UDIT ] (@uditss) on Jan 14, 2018 at 11:37pm PST Then we moved on to their pancakes. They've got some interesting combinations, and we tried their cocktail ones. These are small & colourful pancakes with a topping of your choice; there's Nutella, lotus, and more to choose from.  My favourite one was the " Adore Me ". It is a chocolate cake and an ice-cream sandwich served with some strawberries, and topped with Nutella and white chocolate...

In our quest for some Mexican food that wouldn't break our wallet, we stumbled upon this one. At first, I thought of the name very weird, until I actually looked it up  online, and it means food that has a very pleasant taste and makes you want to eat more. The menu looked interesting and we couldn't wait to try out some of their delicious starters.  What better way to start a Mexican meal than nachos. So we ordered the Grande Nachos . It's got mexican bean sauce, sour cream jalapenos, and lots of melted cheese on it. Not to forget the guacamole of-course.  The quantity was quite large and the toppings were more than enough and lasted till the last nacho chip got over! A nachos lover would understand what I mean.  Then we wanted the all time favorite - garlic bread. We chose the mexican spiced one initially, but the waitress said that would be on a normal toast, so we chose the Herb Cheese Garlic bread .  There were four pieces and tasted really good. ...

Logma - small delicious bites

Logma - the name means "small delicious bites", and they do have a lot of items with a small portion size. The interiors are cozy and bright. As soon as you enter, you can see the service area which also has a display of different glasses and a few spices. They have a seating area near the entrance as well as one inside which is a bit secluded. They have a lot of interesting drinks on their menu and we started with those. We ordered the Dubai Nights (berry based), Palm Island (pomegranate and mint), and the Caramel Lotus . The first two of them were tangy, the last one was thick. All of them were superb. For starters we ordered the Khaleeji Wings, Logma fries, Chicken Saffron Salad, and one of their hot favorites - the cheese samboosa. One bite of the cheese samboosa and I know why it is among their top recommendations. It is really cheesy and a must try for anyone who even slightly loves cheese.  The chicken saffron salad has tangy pieces of chic...
