Burnout cafe

I had heard about this place and wanted to go check it out.

We wanted to grab a bite and were passing by so decided to step in. We weren't here for shisha, but just some food.

For starters, we ordered the buffalo chicken wings and masala fries.

The chicken wings were served in a sweet and spicy gravy (which had capsicum) in it, along with bread on the side. How on earth are these buffalo chicken wings?! The chicken also felt a bit under cooked.

The masala fries took about half an hour to be served. When they were served, we asked if these are masala fries or regular fries, and they confirmed saying that these are masala fries. They had no "masala" on it. Salt and pepper is not the masala that is expected for masala fries. I could order regular fries and ask for salt and pepper on the side. Also, the fries weren't crispy.

They suggested us the rice bowls as one of their specialities. We chose the spicy shrimp rice bowl. It was shrimp prepared in a semi-dry sweet and spicy gravy. It tasted same as the "gravy" which they had put on the wings. The quantity of the rice was a little more than the spicy shrimp, and so it felt quite dry to eat.

We did not like anything that we ate here. You can see how unappetising it looks from the photos too.

Also, from what I saw at the restaurant, it looked like they are not taking the health and safety measures with regards to covid seriously at all. We confronted one of the staff members and he said that since they're serving shisha they haven't covered their face, but many of them were taking food orders and serving food without the mask on their face.

The prices are very reasonable, but the food isn't good at all.
