Tasting Bay

This is a healthy restaurant and I've recently started having healthy food so I've taken a liking towards it. A friend of mine invited me here and I was excited to check out the restaurant.  The ambience is nice and has earthy green and brown colours although it's not a very big place.  While we waited for our food, we munched on some makhana (lotus seeds / fox nuts) which is a nice touch.  We had a refreshing drink - the Summer Cooler . This one is watermelon based with a twist of mint. Perfect for this hot weather.  A classic starter is the Tandoori chicken . This one was served with mint chutney and was just average though. It could have had more flavour to it.  Dabeli is one of my favourite Indian street snacks, and they have the Black Dabeli here. They basically use black pav with the dabeli masala inside. The taste itself was really good, although a little different from what I imagine for a dabeli. Also, the pav wasn't as hot as expe...

I've eaten at their other outlets and totally loved the food. This time I ordered in. If you're looking for healthy food that also tastes great, the this is the place to order. Also, my family is vegetarian, so this is a vegetarian review . I'm a fan of their lentil soup . It's totally different form the lentil soup that we're used to having. The lentils are whole and it is a clear broth. It also has some kale in it, and while I'm not much of a fan, it does taste good in this. We ordered their vegetarian wrap -  they had just one option - the roasted root veg wrap . It's got zucchini, eggplant, sweet potato, red onions, feta cheese, spicy tahini dressing. The combination tasted great and was quite satisfying. For the mains, we had the spicy lentil ragu . This has puy lentils along with garlic, mushroom leek, tomato, and is served on wild rice. I really liked the texture and consistency of this. The wild rie tastes a bit different than regular r...

Pita Pit - Media city

I visited them at their other outlet recently and though of checking this out when a friend invited me here. It was a bit late and they had almost started closing, and it felt really deserted. Also, it was a bit hard to find. I'd suggest this place mostly for ordering in.  I had the spicy chicken  wrap which I had tried at the other outlet and I liked it here as well. Chicken is grilled in sriracha and it also has some fresh vegetables in it. Tastes delicious.  We also tried the souvlaki wrap this time. It has smoked chicken, fresh salad vegetables and feta and swiss cheese. I did expect this to be really good, in fact, better. This wasn't bad, but I think it lacked a little flavour.  They have some nice beverages too and I tried the apple & ginger one. I liked the combination and it had a good flavour to it.  We also had the matcha latte . I do enjoy matcha drinks, but found this one just average. I'm not sure if it was the way it was ma...

This is a place that serves healthy but really delicious food. It is a very small outlet, and I'd ideally suggest a take away since there is seating for about 6-8 people.  They basically have wraps and salad bowls, and the best part is that you can see them making it in front of you. They also have some juices.  They have some really good options, and I was confused what to get. I ordered the spicy chicken wrap . This has got chicken that's grilled in sriracha sauce, and some fresh veggies like tomato, mushroom, lettuce, and more. I took a bite and I must say it was really delicious. The chicken is spicy, but the spicy flavour isn't overpowering since you have a lot of vegetables in there. This was big and a meal by itself. You have a choice of white or brown bread; and you can choose your sauces too.  You can also customize your dishes, so we chose our ingredients for the salad. We didn't see many options for vegetarian so we chose the halloumi for the p...

Urban Diner

This is a small place but has some really good food, as well as healthy options that I was invited to try out.  Definitely our favourite item here was their falafels . Served hot, and crispy, and really flavourful, with some tahina and hummus on the side along with fries. We loved it so much that we asked for another portion of it. Definitely try it out.   Another interesting dish was the spicy roast chicken . It is spicy, though not as spicy as the peri peri, and is served topped with sun-dried tomatoes and rice and fries on the side. If you want something a little spicy, this is a really good option. The chicken was soft too.  We then had the veggie wrap . It looked delicious and was served with a salad on the side. I took a bite and I really liked it. The combination of everything inside really gave it a good flavour.  I'm a fan of the shakshouka , and I had one of this. It was a bit more tangy than the ones I've usually had. Also, this has poa...

This is a healthy restaurant that serves delicious food. Having been to their other outlet, I was looking forward to dine here to when they invited me here. This outlet is small and caters mostly to deliveries. There is seating for about 6-8 people. I had liked their lentil soup so much last time, that I had to have it this time too. This did taste exactly the same, and perhaps is one of the best lentil soups in town. We then ordered a spinach feta omelette . It was fluffy and the texture was very good. It felt a tad bit dry though. Also, the avocado and the spinach leaves in it felt sandwiched between two layers of the omelette and not exactly added while making it. This made it a bit hard to eat the omelette. I saw the grilled salmon burger on the menu and since I've never had one, I just had to try it out. This one was delicious. It had mashed avocado and low-fat yoghurt it in instead of the regular sauces in a burger. It also had lettuce, radish, and cucumber...
