Mondoux
If you're looking for healthy and delicious food with a view of the Dubai skyline, then this is the place to be. I shot the below picture near the restaurant:
This restaurant has a nice decor with seating indoors as well as outdoors.
They do not fry anything here, in fact, they said that they do not even have a fryer in the restaurant!
We started with the cucumber lemonade. It had a really nice and refreshing taste to it.
The Greek frappe was not bad but could have been better.
They've got vegan options, and we tried the Guacamole Beyond Meat Burger. This had a vegan patty, cheddar cheese, and guacamole in it.
On the side were fries; these were air fried - they were 2 types - sweet potato, and beetroot.
The whole combination tasted really nice and is a treat for healthy eaters.
The other dish was the lamb shank. It was a nice big one and the meat was soft and cooked really well. It was flavourful too, and served with a chickpea puree, bulghur, and pakchoy on the side.
For dessert, we had the blueberry cheesecake. It was topped with berries and I really loved it.
An interesting dessert is the make-you-own-ice-cream-bar. You can coat your ice-cream bar with chocolate of your choice and top it with fruits and dry-fruits as you like as well as brownies. I didn't find this overly sweet, so I really liked this.
For all the chocolate lovers, this place has got chocolate that you can drink. It is served warm in a cup. I cannot call it drinking chocolate or hot chocolate, since this is just thick melted chocolate. They gave us two types - the white and the ruby. Ruby chocolate is a new variety of chocolate introduced by Belgium in 2017 and has a natural pink colour to it. These warm cups of chocolate looked very tempting, but having these just by themselves is extremely sweet, and we couldn't have more than a spoonful of it.
This area has a basement parking where you can park. It's a nice place overall, with good food and a view.
