I like to try out new sushi places. Yo sushi is a very well known outlet, although it was my first tie trying it out.  They have the conveyor belt sushi offers too, but we just opted for the regular dine-in.  We started with the smoked salmon and cream cheese roll. It had some cucumber in it too, and I liked the combination of salmon with the cream cheese. After this we had the dynamite roll. If you like a bit of spicy flavours then this one is great. It's got salmon, chill oil, and avocado that's rolled in crispy onion, and topped with sriracha and mayo. A burst of flavours there.  For a quick bite, we ordered the popcorn shrimp. This is tempura shrimp drizzled with sweet shiro miso and chilli sauce. I would have liked this to be a bit on the spicy side instead of sweet.  For the accompaniments, we called for a prawn Yakisoba. I was looking out for some sushi places and stumbled across this one. They have seating indoors as well as outdoors. The view outside is nice, but it was quite chilly that day so we sat inside. It has a nice ambience. We started with some wakame salad . Love the marinated seaweed and the little crunch that it has to it.  The shrimp gyoza was pretty good too. Was expecting the stuffing to be a bit more juicier. The sake sashimi had fresh salmon. They've got some interesting rolls, and we had the double crunch roll . This is a shrimp tempura roll with cucumber and spicy mayo topped with tobiko and scallion. It was crunchy as the name says and flavourful.  The salmon tataki roll was nice too. It was made with seared salmon, cucumber and spicy mayo, and tataki sauce. The dynamite roll was a crispy futomaki roll made with spicy salmon. My family has recently got into vegan food and we thought of trying some. Usually we end up at a vegetarian Indian restaurant which has a lot of vegan dishes, but this time we wanted to try out something different. Tum Tum Asia is one of the very few (or perhaps the only) vegetarian Asian restaurant that I know of, and majority of the items on the menu are available in vegan  variants. (P.S. Items on their menu with the vegan symbol can be made vegan on request and may not necessarily be vegan if you don't specify that). We went there on a weekend, but since we went early (around 8pm), it wasn't crowded, although it was packed by the time we were done with our meal. They do cater to the Indian palate too, and I say this because they have a section in their menu called "Because Indian is Pan Asian" which does have a handful of Indian items.  All items in this review are Vegan . We were looking for a place with some good sushi and ramen, and stumbled across this one. It is located in the Galleria mall, and getting parking was not very difficult, since the mall itself also has its own parking. The restaurant has seating inside as well as outside. One thing which I noticed was that most of the seating does not have backrest, which personally puts me off a little bit. They have a nice selection of dishes, some of which are fusion too, and we were spoilt for choice. One dish which really caught my attention is the Japanese sandwiches. I ordered the grilled salmon sandwich . This is mostly just the shape of a sandwich; it has  blow-torched salmon on a bed of rice, and is topped with spicy mayo and teriyaki. There are a lot of sushi places around town but this one has been around for over 17 years! Yes, really long time. I was invited to try out the sushi from one of the oldest sushi places in town. The ambience of Sushi Sushi has a red theme to it giving a very Asian feel; though the interiors do look old now (duh) and are a tad bit dimly lit. It is located in Century Village which itself is a charm of its own. There are half a dozen restaurants here and you can see trees planted in between them which gives a very pleasant feel. Most of the restaurants have an outdoor smoking zone where they serve shisha, including this one. The place also serves alcohol if you like a drink or two ...or five. They also have the conveyor belt sushi if that's what you prefer. You can also see the chefs making some of the dishes in front of you. The name "Asia Tang" gave me a feeling that it's a casual Asian restaurant that would have nice food, and when they invited me, I was really looking forward to check it out. I had gone with a vegetarian friend of mine, so there are a lot of things that are suitable for vegetarians in this review (colour coded green for veg and red for non-veg).  When I went here, it was just like I expected. The interiors were even better with an earthy feel to it. There are plants everywhere and it feels so fresh. The interiors would make it a perfect place for a relaxed lunch on a weekend.  The staff serves you with a smile and it is something that really makes for a good experience.  Before I tell you what I ate, I would like to point out the fact they instead of giving fancy names to the dishes, they've named them easy to understand; often even just making a name based on the ingredients that go into making the dish, and that right are extra brownie point from my sid...
