Yummy Dosa
A friend and I were just going to another restaurant in the area, when this name caught our attention. There's much more than dosa to this place. It is a fusion Indian street food if I can say so. Also, they've tried to put in a lot of desi touch to it.
The interiors are well-designed. They've got a small seating downstairs and some seating upstairs as well. The menu cards look like a chopping board, and even the small hooks that they're hanged on, have an interesting design.
I'm a fan of fusion food, and I like the creativity that people put in to make unique dishes. I saw "italian dosa" and immediately ordered one; but later I noticed that there are more interesting items such as "Zini dosa". It was something I hadn't heard of before. So we replaced the previous one with this instead.
It was really delicious. It was cheesy, had some vegetables inside, and had a bit of a mexican taste to it. Was served with two fresh coconut chutneys - a green one and a bit spicy orange one; also, schezwan sauce. This dish is served in the form of small rolls. It not just looks appealing, but the taste certainly lives up to it.
After this we ordered a veg italiano sizzler. It consists of baby corn and mushroom in brown sauce on a bed of yellow mildly spiced rice and vegetables. It also had a green bell pepper filled with spicy potato which was nice too. The brown sauce had a pasta-like taste to it. The rice complemented it well. The quantity of the vegetables could have been a bit more I felt.
Later we did a take away for a triple schezwan fried rice. The quantity was good. It was well packed. It had the taste of good Indian Chinese food. The sauce had a good flavor with a kick of black pepper to it. It tasted good until the next day.
The service of this place is fast. Also, they've got a see-through kitchen visible from the footpath itself. So if you pass by, you'll most probable be tempted to get it.
Surely coming back for more.
