Ketli Cafe
Ketli is one of those place which gets easily missed if you're passing by. I rarely noticed it despite driving by a few times. This time I was invited to try out their seasonal Mango Mania festival. I'm sure you love mangoes, so keep reading. Even if you're one of those few who doesn't, there are the regular non-mango dishes too, so keep reading 😛
It is not a very big place, but they've done it up pretty well. There are some plant and other artsy decorations around the place, and some hilarious signboards too!
We started with some mango lassi. Not too sour and not overly sweet either. It was really good.
They also have the mango shake which looks similar but I liked this much more. It was thick and sweeter, and hard to resist. Definitely try it out if you're going there.
For snacks, we had the paratha (roll). There was the aloo achari paratha and the chicken achari paratha. The taste of achar (pickle) was prominent though not over-powering. I liked the aloo achari more than the chicken achari paratha.
Then we had the yakhni pulav. It is served along with raita, salad, and a lovely spicy green chutney. I liked the chicken yakhni pulav over the vegetarian one. The quantity was a bit less. There could have been more pulav and less salad.
Now time for the sweet ending. We had the mango cream dessert. I loved the soft and creamy consistency of this one; similar to a mousse, and was topped with cream. Loved every bit of it.
The Mango Mania is there just for about a month from writing this post (thought the other items will be available all year round).
