Memsaab - Umm Hurair
This particular outlet of Memsaab is located in Healthcare city, and is a pretty small one. It has seating for about 10-12 people. I was invited here to try out the food.
They got us a welcome drink when we got there. It was the jal jeera - a bit tangy than what I've usually had.
For starters, they recommended us the Lucknowi mutton kebabs. They looked quite good, and did taste nice too, although a tad bit dry. Had a nice flavour to it.
The next one was the honey chilli potato. It looked really tempting, was crispy, and tasted delicious. I do like mine to be a bit thicker though but I did enjoy these.
For our drinks we had the salted lassi and a fresh lime soda. We asked for the latter one to be made salted but it was sweet and salt mix when it was served. The lassi was good enough and so was the fresh lime soda.
For our mains, we had the Goan prawn curry. This had a good amount of prawns in it, and was really delicious. I could barely contain myself from having it. It had a nice consistency and a flavour to it.
We also ordered one madras chicken. It had a nice lovely aroma of the spices to it, but the chicken did not seem fresh. Something about it felt amiss.
The service was good, and since the outlet is small there is a staff member around who you can call.
Go here for a quick fix of Indian food; the dishes can be a hit and miss.
