Roti Rollers
Since I tried their food in the La Mer outlet, I've become a fan. They invited me to try out the food here.
This outlet is not too big and has seating for about 10 people. We were sitting inside where there is seating for 2-4 people, and it felt like a nice small and private area where we were undisturbed by passers-by.
We started with the refreshing mango lassi. The texture felt smooth and it was served at the right temperature. It wasn't overly sweet either.
For our light bites, I ordered the summer rolls. These are rolls made from rice paper, and have a filling of your choice inside. I tried the chicken tikka as well as the malai chicken. Both of which were good. Since the rice paper is really thin, you get more flavour of the filling inside and don't feel heavy either.
They also have another appetiser with a catchy name - the darth vada. It is their version of a batata wada. It has a flavour of curry leaves and coconut, and is served with green chutney on the side. This was average I felt.
After that we tried the salted caramel date lassi which sounded interesting but was a bit too sweet for our liking and a bit too thick as well.
For the rolls, they have a few pre-set ones as well as the option to customize them as per your liking.
Tilak, who was serving us, recommended the paneer with the korma gravy. It was a bit on the sweeter side, and we liked it. We had it made in the betroot roti.
For the other one, we had the chicken tikka. The chef added the sauces that taste best with it and made it really well. We had it in the avocado bread.
For dessert, we had the chocolate samosa. They use Hershey's chocolate and it did taste really nice for the initial bites, but does get a bit too sweet too. It's good for sharing between 2-3 people.
Overall, I liked the rolls here which is what they're basically known for. They filling and taste really good.
