Sevilla - Al Raha Beach Resort
It was a Friday and I was invited for a brunch here. Though the buffet has primarily sea-food, there are a lot more options than that and you certainly find lots of dishes to indulge in.
Among the salads and cold starters, there was quinoa salad, thai beef salad, mix seafood salad, beetroot salad with goat cheese, tuna nicoise platter, smoked eel and prawn salad, beetroot salmon, smoked mackerel platter, smoked salmon platter, grilled pepper with eggplant and anvhocies, and also various types of prawns and shellfish.
I really liked the smoked salmon as well as the quinoa salad. The grilled peppers were also quite nice.
There is also a variety of cheese like gouda, cheddar, blue cheese etc. for cheese lovers.
If you are someone who likes to choose their fish then there is a live fish counter too. They have fishes like seabass, hammour, pomfret, tuna etc. where you can choose your fish and have it made according to your preference.
There is also a kiddies corner too. It's got mozzarella sticks, pasta, crumb fried chicken where the kiddies can feast.
Oh, and the chicken wings were there too. These were really good and saucy.
I also liked the shrimp biryani, though I would have liked some more masala. The lamb Quzi was not bad either.
Being a fan of Asian, I did enjoy the stir fried glass noodles with the veggies that they were prepared in.
If you're a fan of kebabs, they also have the shish tawook and the lamb kofta.
One thing which I did not like here is the sushi. They had about 6-8 types of these including one with eel, and also two different types of ginger. The sushi tasted a bit dry and not very fresh.
They have a vey good selection of desserts too.
If you're a fan of matcha, do try the matcha dessert here; I'm not sure of the exact name but it is delicious.
I also liked the white chocolate pudding and the dark chocolate delight.
There are more sweets like the panna cotta, popping boba et al; as well as Arabic sweets like the baklava, umm ali, and balaleet.
The ambience of the place is also quite nice with seating indoors as well as outdoors.
The staff wasn't all that efficient throughout. At times, they did get the desired items quickly, but there were instances where they took a long time.
For those who like some live music, they've got that too.
To conclude, I would say that the variety is just amazing and especially if you're a sea-food lover, you're going to enjoy the spread. Most of the items taste really good too and the place makes for a good option for a weekend brunch.
