The Farm - Al barari
If you want to dine in nature, this is definitely the best place in Dubai to go to. If you haven't been to Al Barari before, then let me tell you that you'll see a lot of greenery right from the time you enter the area.
The Farm has a dining area which is open-air and I would suggest sitting there (weather permitting), and there is also an indoor dining space.
A prior reservation is highly recommended.
We started with the fresh orange juice, and the Purifier which is a mix of carrot, orange, cucumber, ginger, and mint leaves. Both of them were fresh and tasted really good.
They got us some foccacia bread as we waited for our food. I found this yummy too. They gave some pesto along with it.
We started with the gnocchi. It had a cheesy and tomato based flavour to it. It did taste really very good, but felt a bit dry after a few bites.
The paneer butter masala was really nice, and not too spicy. I wouldn't compare it to the flavours from a typical Indian restaurant but it was quite good.
On the side, we took some grilled potatoes. They had rosemary and a few herbs on it which gave it a nice flavour.
Another side dish was the parsley sauteed broccolini which I totally enjoyed having. This too tasted really fresh and complemented our food well.
The service was a tad bit slow, and I did find the prices to be a bit on the higher side, but the dining experience in the midst of nature is unparalleled.
It is on SMBZR and if you're using the maps, you shouldn't have any problem finding the place.
