Bhar - Renaissance Downtown

This was perhaps the best iftar that I went to this season. Not only the food, but I really liked it overall too.

The view from here is just breath-taking. It's worth going here just for the view. You get a lovely view of the Dubai canal, and it felt so peaceful. Although, it was a bit hot in Ramadan, but they had a couple of coolers outside, so it wasn't that bad. It would be great during winters though.

They also had live music here.

We started with some lovely Ramadan juices.  I really liked the karkadi which was refreshing and not too sour. They also had qamar aldin, laban, and tamarind juice.

We then moved on to shawerma (which wasn't as a roll but as a plate on which you could put toppings as per your liking).

There were various types of breads, manakeesh, and fatayer.

The selection of cold starters was huge. Apart from the usual hummus, tabbouleh, fattoush, they also had haydari, labneh balls and more. The salads were cold and actually tasted really fresh.

For soup, I had the Moroccan Harira soup which is made from beans and I totally loved it.
They had some really delicious kebabs too; chicken, lamb, as well as beef. They were hot and really flavourful.

There was hardly any place left in my tummy, so I just had the Ouzi after that. No doubt, this also tasted great.

To satisfy your sweet tooth, there were plenty options too. Arabic sweets, cakes, umm ali, kunafa, pistachio verrine, and more.

Overall, the food felt really comforting which is what I loved about the place. The restaurant has a rich feel to it.

They also accept zomato gold for food (including 1+1 for iftar).
