Daily Dose Cafe
This is a cafe located on Jumeirah road that has really nice breakfast options. The ambience is earthy with a lot of natural lighting which makes it a great option to start your day with a scrumptious breakfast. They invited me to try out the place and and it was a very nice experience dining here.
As soon as you enter, you'll notice the woody interiors with plants dotted around the place. They've got a couple of tables with glass panels around and you could bask in the sun too. This has an upmarket feel to it compared to a lot of other breakfast places.
As we waited for our orders, they got us some brown bread along with labneh and olives.
My friend order the halloumi on toast. It also has slices of avocado, tomatoes, and is topped with sun-dried tomatoes. I'm not that big a fan of halloumi since a lot of times it feels a bit dry, but this combination tasted great. The tomatoes and avocado balanced the flavours. It comes with salad on the side.
They have breakfast platters too and I called for the Mediterranean breakfast. It consists of falafels, grilled halloumi, foul medammes, a sunny side up, and zaatar bread. The falafels were crunchy and tasted fantastic. The grilled halloumi was nice too. The foul medammes was a tad bit dry but tasted quite good nonetheless. The sunny side up was done just right. The zaatar bread was a bit hard, and I didn't quite enjoy this one.
For my coffee, I had the cold brew. They change the beans for this one on a daily basis, and on this day they had the Guatemala beans which made a good col brew.
We also had a cold Spanish latte. A lot of times, the sugar in this one is on the higher side, but this wasn't the case here. The latte was done just right, and we really liked it.
They have some desserts too, and we had the red velvet crepe. This was my first time having it. The crepe was thin and soft which is the way I like it. It has got a sponge cake inside it, and it topped with whipped cream, blueberries, and strawberries. It had a melange of flavours and textures which complemented each other very well. It wasn't overly sweet either and I would definitely recommend trying this one.
Overall, this was a very satisfactory breakfast, and the ambience of this place is something that would give a great start to your day. There are a few parking spots available just outside the cafe, and the place also has valet parking.
