71 Camel Station
This place is located in Rise - Dubai Creek Harbour, which itself is a very beautiful place that is open only on the weekends. There are a lot of new restaurants popping up there, and the place is general is definitely worth a visit, especially for the views of the Dubai skyline.
71 Camel Station is a UAE grown brand that serves just Camel meat! Isn't that amazing? I know not many people are used to having that, or perhaps haven't even tasted it. To some it may sound a bit weird, but it isn't something that would gross you out once you taste it. In fact, the camel meat patties from this place didn't taste all that different from regular beef patties. I've had camel burgers at other places too, where the tastes were more prominent.
This particular outlet is small, and the seating is outside. It has cute looking toys in the shape of a camel.
They primarily have the camel burger that is priced at AED 25, and the rice with camel meat priced at 20 for medium, and 25 for the large one.
The burger is available in the normal, spicy, and 'nar' variants. I had the 'nar', which is supposed to be really spicy. This wasn't all that spicy though. It tasted good, but I was expecting a bit better. It is served along with fries.
We had the rice too. This one is served with spicy sauces on the side. I liked this better than the burger; perhpas because I could get a better taste of meat in this one.
Overall, it isn't a bad place, and you can certainly try it if you're looking for camel meat, but otherwise I think you could give it a miss.
