Delhi Nihari

If you like desi food like kebabs and nihari at a price that is easy on your pocket, then this is the place to go.
It is not a very big place, but the food is mind-blowing. They invited me to their nahda branch to try it out.

We were three of us and they recommended their family grill platter. Most of the items were on the spicier side and we totally loved having them. It consists of the following:

- mutton seekh kebab: these were delicious.
- reshmi kebab: this was average.
- malai boti: this one tasted good; not as good as the others.
- chicken bihari kebab: this was spicy and delicious.
- beef bihari kebab: was pretty good.
- lamb chops: these looked sort of burnt, but tasted amazing.

For the mains, they said that there's a dish which we definitely have to try. It was the magaz nihari.  It is the brain that is made nihari style. After having a bite, I can say that it was worth the hype; it was really flavourful. The gravy seemed a bit thin initially, but it being nihari, later turned a bit thicker. This one is certainly worth a try.

We had it along with the garlic naan. It was thick but soft, and had a generous amount of garlic on it.

There was the rogani naan too which was quite good.

They also have the sheermal which is a bread that is on the sweeter side. Though it tasted good, I'm not personally a fan of having anything sweetish with my savoury mains.

We then had a chicken biryani. The chicken in this was cooked very well and the rice tasted quite nice as well. I wouldn't say this was fantastic, but it was pretty good.

For our dessert, we had the gulab jamun which was soft and hot. It also had the right amount of sweetness to it.

We had some ras malai too. This was not bad, but nothing to rave about either.

We went there on a weekend and it was almost impossible to get parking on the road, but thankfully there is a paid parking lot just opposite the restaurant which is costs AED 10 per hour.
Also, when I visited them, the location on Zomato was that of their old outlet. Below is a map of their exact location.
