Beesket - healthy juices and more
Beesket is an interesting healthy concept that I was invited to try out.
They cater primarily to healthy juices. They offer two types of juices - original and squeezed. To put in simple terms, the squeezed ones are strained, whereas in the original ones the fibre is retained.
You choose three flavours (fruits / vegetables) to make a juice out of. In order to choose, you select the corresponding capsule and put it in a basket that is shaped like a beehive (hence the name beesket - bee + basket). Once you select it, you can even check the amount of calories it has using the in-built sensors in it. There are also pre-set combinations if you're too confused to choose.
I made a combination of Mango, Peach, and Raspberry. It tasted really nice. The sour raspberry flavour was balanced with the sweetness of the mango.
We also had the Pomegranate, Strawberry, and Kiwi. This was high in Vitamin C, and had a good flavour to it.
Last, but not the least, we had the Kiwi, Tangerine, and Black Grape. It was a bit on the sour side, but since there was fibre, it doesn't taste all that sour.
They have detox juices too - the red juice and the green juice. I tried the red juice which is made from beetroot, grapefruit, and ginger, and I really liked it; especially considering the fact that I'm not all that much of a healthy eater.
They have sandwiches too, and you can have an open sandwich, or the regular one.
For the open sandwich, we tried the Avocado, Tomato, and Lemon one. It was delicious. It tasted really fresh, and the avocado gave it a nice flavour.
For the regular sandwich (closed sandwich), we had the Kale, Yoghurt, Avocado. This was just about okay. The yoghurt had made the sandwich wet and soggy, and it was hard to hold, and all that was sandwiched kept falling out. The taste was average.
It's a nice concept overall, and they also have good seating. We went in the afternoon, and there was ample natural light seeping in through the windows which was a big plus for me.
