Bareburger La Mer
I was visiting the newly opened La Mer when we stumbled upon this restaurant, and in the mood for some light snacks, we stepped in. The place was very lively and a little crowded even on a weekday.
We were looking for some shareables as there were three of us. Initially when we saw the fries in the menu, we though that these might not be enough, and also, they felt a bit expensive, but the waiter recommended these saying that the portion size is huge and loaded; and we would definitely love these. So we ordered the Macho Fries.
This was a really huge portion of fries. Three of us took two servings each. It was served along with guacamole, salsa (pico de gallo), gouda pickled jalapenos, and buttermilk ranch. Even the toppings / sauces were a generous amount, and we could barely keep our hands of it. The fries were crisp too.
Looking for a different burger than usual, we decided to have the "Nomad". This burger has a camel patty in it.
This was one place where I really loved the camel patty. There are other places where the flavor wasn't that prominent but here it was, and I really liked it. It was meaty, and huge. Also the burger contained a fried egg, onions, pickles, and mayo. All of this perfectly complemented the patty.
The prices seem a little on the higher side, but after seeing the portion sizes, we were convinced that it pretty much worth it.
