Jones the Grocer - at Dusit
We ended up here since there was waiting for the outside shisha place - the View - and we wanted to have something light.
I was with vegetarians and sadly, there aren't too many veg options.
We started with a three cheese & Jones pomegranate-fig jam toastie. This was pretty good. It had fig-jam which give it a hint of sweetness, but not something overpowering. It was served with thick-cut fries which I really loved.
For pasta, we had the garlic and chili linguinie. The taste wasn't bad, but it felt really dry.
I also had a smoked chicken and Persian feta omelette. I did not like this one at all. Firstly, the toast on which it was served had become totally soggy, so much so that I could barely cut it. Secondly, the omlette had less salt in it and lacked taste.
Lastly we had some green tea with honey which we liked.
Despite being located in a five-star hotel, this place doesn't feel upmarket.
Also, the staff seemed uninterested in the customers. Not that they were rude, but they didn't seem to be very hospitable either.
