Chateau Blanc

We were looking for a good restaurant that serves continental food, and my friend suggested this one. The pictures of this place looked great, and the menu seemed interesting, hence we decided to check it out.

As soon as you enter, you'll see their selection of cakes, all of hich look really tempting. They make some customized cakes too.

They have seating there, as well as on the second floor which is where we sat. The view from up here is really nice. On this particular day, we were the only ones in this section, and it felt like the whole place was just for us.

We started with one of the light bites - fries. Not just regular frie, but truffle parmesan fries. These were crispy and tasted really good, but didn't have much of parmesan on it which was a bit of a let down.

For drinks, I saw the Ginger Martini on the menu; the interesting part was that it has cotton candy written in the description which intrigued me and I just had to try it out. For this mocktail, they basically get you ginger ale in a glass, and a cotton candy on the side. You need to dip it in the glass and see the magic. The cotton candy melts into the ginger ale, and it looks like magic. This one tasted really nice and refreshing. The combination that ginger and the cotton candy bring about is just amazing.

For mains, I had the Roasted Garlic Shrimp. This is served with qinoa rice. I could get the delicious flavour of the prawns as I was having it, and the aroma from it being roasted complemented it well, and so did the quinoa rice.

The other dish that we had was the truffle mac and cheese. I'm sure this doesn't need a detailed description. The sad part though is that the waiter goofed up our order, and brought us another dish that contained chicken; and this dish was intended for my vegetarian friend. Obviously, we weren't too happy about it as we had to wait even longer for the mac and cheese. Sadly, the taste was just average; it didn't feel quite right as it should have.

They've got a really good selection of desserts, and they got us the iPad in which they have the dessert menu along with the photos. Since we weren't too hungry, we chose a small one. I don't remember the exact name, but it was something like a chocolate mousse cake. This one was kinda irresistible. It was creamy and we finished it off in no time.

I liked the place primarily for its ambience and the view.
