Fish Hut - Al Barsha

After the huge success of their Bur Dubai outlet, they opened one in Barsha too, and they invited me to try out their food.
The place has a lot of tables in there, and in a way that's a good thing, but in case there are a lot of people, this place might feel cramped as the tables are in close proximity to each other.

They have quite a wide variety in their menu especially for the grills which is their speciality. They have char-grilled as well as pan-grilled.

The manager offered to set the table for us, i.e. get their best dishes so that we could get a taste of everything. They first got the complimentary salad.

We started with the shrimp which is my favourite seafood. It was pan-grilled. They got us two varieties - the lemon butter one, and  the spicy one. Both of them were really nice, though I liked the lemon butter one more, since it was something which I don't usually have. It had the right amount of zest to it. The taste of the spicy one was not something out of the ordinary.

Next we had the calamari, of which they got two types too. One was the rosemary one, and the other was the spicy one. For someone like me who is not a big fan of calamari, I really enjoyed having these. As far as the calamari was concerned, I liked the spicy one better than rosemary. I brought out the flavour well, and it was not chewy.

For the mains, we had the sea bream fish - chargrilled. Half of it was made spicy, and the other half was lemon & thyme. The fish was really soft, and the lemon & thyme one was delicious. We just couldn't stop at one bite. The spicy one was not bad either.

Then we had the shrimp roast. They hadn't made this one spicy since most people don't prefer it that way, but if you like spicy, you can tell them accordingly. This one tasted quite good, but it could have been better.

We had this with a hot and fluffy parota

Since I am a fan of fish that has less or no bones, they got us a pan-grilled salmon. At first it looked a bit over-grilled from the outside, but when we dug in, it was just right. The salmon was soft enough, at the same time well made. It tasted really superb.

To end on a bit of a sweet note, we had the mango milkshake. There was more milk in it and less mango. It tasted good nonetheless, but could have been better.

They also have fresh sea-food displayed and you can choose from that if you like. Overall, it is a great place for sea-food lovers.
