xiao wei yang - hot pot

This is one of the really good places for a hot pot.
They have the eat-all-you-can option for around 50 bucks, and additionally they also have combos where you can eat a limited quantity.

We were two of us, and chose one of the combo which was for around  75 bucks. It was more than enough for both of us, and we could barely finish it. It came along with the Mongolian broth.

They have a lot of sauces at one of the counter where you can go and take as much as you like. Not just sauces, but also chilies and other condiments. I was so busy enjoying the hot pot, that I forgot to take a picture of these sauces.

Now usually I can take really spicy, but since the temperature of this one is hot too, it's best not to put too many spicy sauces in there, but just keep it mild and enjoy.

If you go for the unlimited option then there is a charge for wastage, which I think is a good thing so that they do not have to throw away the food (and of-course you cannot do a take-away for this one; though take-away is permitted for the à la carte  dishes).

If you're reading this, I'm guessing you knew what's a hot pot and you were looking for one. If you don't know, then read on.

A hot pot is a concept where they get you a broth of your choice, and it is kept on the flame which is on the table, so that it remains hot, or rather boiling. Along with this, they give you meats and vegetables (based on the option you've chosen), and you go on putting them in the broth. You put in a few, cook for about 5 mins (since they're half cooked already) along with sauces (if you wish to add any). Then you have these; then cook some more. Repeat until full.

I liked the ambience of this place too. It has a very Asian feel to it.
