Spice Kraft

We were looking for a desi place to have some small bites in this area when we came across this and decided to check it out.
This restaurant isn't too big. It has about 8-10 tables. The food though was pretty good.

We started off with the cheese masala papad. Most of the places have just the regular masala papad; everyone likes cheese, and this was a welcome addition to one of my favourite pre-starter.
This one tasted nice. Just like the masala papad you're used to, but better. Sadly, it took quite some time to be served, and they had already got the other dishes, so it defeated the purpose of having something to munch on while your food arrives.

We saw some interesting tandoor starters, and were pondering which ones to have; the waiter suggested the platter which seemed like a good option. It had bharwan aloo, sheekh kebab, mushroom, and paneer tikka. The aloo was my favourite here. It was a bit spicy and I really liked it. The sheekh kebabs were also really good. They were a tad bit crispy which gave a good texture to it.The mushroom and paneer were not too bad either.

Then we ordered a dabeli. This one was a let down. I think it was the only thing which we did not like. It wasn't very bad, but something about it seemed amiss.

We ordered a portion of thepla too. It was served along with the choonda (sweet mango pickle). These were good enough.

We felt the need for something more along with it so we asked for a portion of jeera aloo. The jeera aloo was really delicious; especially since it was hot. It tasted fresh as well. It didn't have too many spices, and I liked the simple flavour that it had to it.

To drink, we had a masala chhaas. This was a little bit thicker than usual, but tasted good nonetheless. It could have had some more masala though.

The sad part was that they didn't have a lot of items from the menu. We really wanted to have something from the chaat items, and khandvi too, but it wasn't available.

The place seems a bit understaffed and they seem a bit lost at times while taking your order.

Overall, we liked the food here; it is reasonably priced too.
