Bun Fight - Jumairah Road
This place caught my attention not only for the interesting name but also the fact that there's Raclette!
I was eagerly looking forward to check it out when I was invited here.
The seating is just upstairs, and it is not too big; enough for about 30 people or so. The interiors feel upmarket for a fast-food joint.
We started with some dirty french dipped fries to munch on. The fries are loaded with melted mozzarella and French beef gravy. Definitely delicious.
Then we had the halloumi fries. These are crunchy and obviously cheesy. They also had some sliced chilli on them which was really spicy and many people might find it too spicy, so go slow with those; there's also hot pepper sauce. So this dish isn't only cheesy but also spicy.
The first burger we had was the french dip burger. It has a 4 ounce Angus beef patty, Montgomery cheddar cheese, and some of their French beef dip. The patty was really juicy and to die for. It was made really well. Not a lot of beef patties are always appealing but this one surely was. Priced at AED 36 for a single patty, and AED 60 for a double.
For those who like chicken, there is the chick n flip cheesy bun. This one has fried chicken, Mozzarella cheese and coleslaw. Totally different from the previous one but really nice by itself. The burger felt crunchy and flavourful.
Now coming to their star item - the fondue dip n flip burger. This one contains a 6 ounce Angus beef patty topped with slow roasted beef. Then they get the Raclette that is heated and scrape off a generous amount on the patty. Then they pour the French beef gravy dip on it. This one looks really mighty and fit for the kings. You can feel the cheese overload when you dig into it. Definitely insta-worthy. Priced at AED 63.
Would you like to "shake your buns"? These are shakes served with a sweet bun.
We tried out the cereal knockout which is a shake made form cereal milk ice-cream, and comes along with a royal iced sticky bun. The shake was thick, the flavour was pretty good. I really liked the bun though.

This was the only picture I could get without the people in the frame. |
