Sana's Biryani

This is a small place located in meena bazaar that serves about a dozen types of biryanis. A few of us were recently invited to try out this place.

They have south Indian style of biryanis which is basically rice with the meat, and not the one with the masala. Their biryanis are very reasonable priced at about 15 to 20 dirhams. The quantity is very good too.

The chicken in the chicken biryani was soft but could have been a bit more flavourful.

The mutton biryani was nice and I liked the flavour too.

I liked the way they serve their starter, and that is as a sizzler. We had the seekh kebab and the chicken. The seekh was really delicious and soft too, on the other hand, the chicken was the exact opposite. It was hard and not so enjoyable.

It was nice to see that they have a good choice for vegetarians too. The vegetable biryani was pretty good and would make for a good option for the vegetarians.

We also tried the paneer chilli which was certainly delicious, and has a desi-Chinese flavour to it.

The dal makhani is definitely worth trying out. It has a creamy consistency to it.

The chicken kadhai was not too bad either, but a bit watery than expected.

We also tried the kotthu paratha which wasn't bad, but could have been better.

They do not have anything for dessert, and so it felt like there was something missing at the end.

Overall, the quantity of the biryani is really good for the price. The taste could be a little better though.

The parking is quite difficult to find considering it is near the fahidi circle.
