Keventers Karama
I had some vouchers for this place and decided to go check it out.
We ordered the kesar badam which was really nice, and gave us the traditional Indian flavours that we're used to.
The other one was the bubble gum. it had the unmistakable flavour of bubble gum; of-course it does get a bit too sweet and you feel the sweetness towards the end, but not a bad flavour.
They have the summer blast menu for this season. The milkshakes form this menu are around AED 10 only, which is quite reasonable.
However, I did not like the service here.
Before ordering, I asked if I could try a flavour. He said that they do not give it for trying.
Later on, somebody came in and got a small size (tasting cup) of a milkshake.
I asked the staff while going again if I could get to taste one of the flavours. He said that only if there is extra from the ones that have been made, then they can give.
Sure enough, the milkshake which was given for taste to the other person was pink (which was also the colour of our bubble gum milkshake).
But what really shocking is that the person who got that small cup of mikshake to taste, did not seem like a customer at all. The person came, sat on one of the chairs, the staff member called them to have the cup of milkshake, and the customer took it and went. The customer did not ask if they could taste it, neither did they enquire about other flavours. Just came, took the little cup, went. Seemed like a personal friend of the staff member.
This also came across as very racist to me.
What are you upto keventers?
P.S. Keventers, I can provide exact date and time of incident in case you want to cross-check it.
