The Hungry Monkey

The name itself is really catchy, and it makes it sound like a cool place. I was invited here to try out their food and beverages.

This place is located in Donatello Hotel and they have their own parking too; also it is pretty easy to find.

The place isn't all that big, so if you're looking for a chilled out place where there won't be too many people, then this is a good option.

They have innovative ways of serving the drinks. They use quirky glasses / bowls to serve them.

The drink that looked really appealing to me was the Rebellious Fish. It is served in a fish bowl, and hence the name. It contains citron vodka, passoa Liqueur, Cointreau, Proseco wine, and orange juice. This one tasted refreshing and I loved the fruity flavours that it had to it.
It was mild in the beginning, and got a little stronger towards the end. I liked the fact that it is served in a bowl and it feels like you're holding something big instead of a regular sized glass.

If a Passionate Kiss is what you are looking for, then that's what you can get here; well, a drink named so. It is made from vodka, passao liqueur, passion fruit liqueur, cranberry juice, orange juice, and sparkling wine. Served in a glass that has a grumpy face on it, this one tasted pretty good. It contained a good amount of alcohol too, and combined with the strong flavours, it was a treat for my taste-buds.

If you're in a mood for something on the sweeter side, then there's a drink for that too. It is the Coco Loco. It has dark rum, Malibu, passoa liqueur, watermelon syrup, passion fruits, pineapple juice, fresh cream, and coconut. It was served in a metallic pineapple shaped glass. The taste was different form the others, but I found it too sweet for my liking.

The last one that we tried was served in a bulb-shaped glass. It is called the Raspberrie Razzmatazz which contains, vodka, creme de cacao, raspberry syrup, pineapple juice, lime juice, soda, and water. The bulb-shaped glassed are interesting. This definitely tasted refreshing, but at the same time really mild, almost like a mocktail. If you want something berrylicious and not too strong, then this is a good choice.

They've got some nice things to munch on too.
We first started with the cheese platter. It also a few types of cheese, and also salami, grapes, and crackers, which go really well with the drinks.

We then had some chilli chicken which was really yum. It was a tad bit spicy, and certainly flavourful. Also, the quantity was pretty good.

They also have a sea-food platter that has tiger prawns, calamari, and fish fillet. If you're a sea-food lover, you'll especially like the huge prawns in this one. It was quite a good platter overall.

For fans of fried chicken, they've got this one too. The chicken pieces were really juicy, but I think they could have had some more flavour to them.  I liked the dipping sauce along with it.

Being a fan of potato, I gorged on some delicious potato wedges. The quantity of this one was really generous. They taste great with the mayo on the side.

The place is dimly lit and has a casual feel to it which makes it great to unwind after a tiring day.
