Gabbar Grill

This restaurant is an interesting concept since it basically is a combination of two restaurants (separate entities on Zomato). The two cuisines are among the ones that desis love the most. Of-course one is Indian, and the other one is Chinese (and also serves Filipino and Thai food); the name of which is Lee's Wok.
I was invited to try out these restaurants, and we tried out the food from both restaurants, but this review is about Gabbar Grill.

The have the traditional Indian drinks. I had the masala chaanch and it was quite good. The jal jeera was about average.

For starters, we had a platter. The interesting thing is that they not only have a veg OR non-veg, but also veg AND non-veg mixed platter. This one had paneer and the rest was non-veg. The paneer tasted average and the pieces were a bit too big for my liking. The seekh kebab was delicious and had the right consistency to it. The chicken kebab was good enough.

For mains, we had the chicken tikka masala and it was flavourful. It also had just the right amount of spices to it. The chicken was cooked well too.

The other dish was the mutton saagwala which is made in a spinach gravy. The gravy tasted alright, but the mutton was really rubbery, which wasn't quite as expected.

There was dal makhani too and it was really nice. It was buttery, and I liked the way it tasted. I also took some rice so that i could relish the dal more.

We had our mains along with the lachha paratha which was made nice and crispy.

For the dessert, we had the carrot halwa. I'm not a big fan of carrot halwa but I really devoured this one. I also liked the texture of this, as well as the taste. It was a darker shade of red than what I've usually had. Do try this one.

The restaurant is located in Building No. 5 on the backside. It isn't visible from the main road, but you can park your car and walk there.
