Have a cigar in style at the Emirates Palace

Want to experience what some might call the utopian lifestyle? Head over to the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi and have a cigar in style.

Club Havana is a nice place if you're looking for something which is classy, and where you can have a drink & smoke a cigar. They have a wide range of cigars. If you have a look at the menu, you will see the huge variety; the average price being around AED 150. However there are cigars as low as AED 30, and cigarillos even cheaper.

The waiter there showed us the selection they had and we chose the chocolate flavored cigarThe flavor was mild, but felt really smooth. They get the dedicated lighter fired up, and then light up the cigar and give it to you, which takes a couple of minutes to light.

They've also got a huge range of cocktails and premium whiskeys which go well when paired along with specific cigars.

We took a few whiskeys, of which I'm not going in details since the whiskey would taste the same wherever you'd order it from.

A few mocktails too we did have. One of which was called the cool breeze, and the other one was Don Juan De La habana. Both of them were really good, and felt refreshing.

As for the finger food, we had onion rings which were huge in size, and crunchy, but were a bit oily and tasted okay.

Had the tempura shrimp too, and this was good.

More than the food, it is the experience that one would go here for. The place isn't too big, and doesn't have loud music. In fact it had a live pianist which was really nice.

Though you should get a table easily, I would suggest going with a prior reservation. This would also be required when entering the hotel (if you aren't a house guest). We had a bit of an issue here, as the restaurant had to speak to the security at the main entrance as we weren't provided a confirmation number, but it wasn't a big hassle...especially compared to the classy experience that it was.
