Cee Bee cafe
This is a cafe in oud metha that serves shisha as well as good desi food. Since we wanted both, this was a good choice.
It was a weekend, and so there are some aspects about this review which you might not experience on a weekday.
Firstly, parking was a big hassle.
This place is a bit dimly lit is what you'll notice as soon as you enter. They have designed smoking and non-smoking areas. We found the tables to be a little too close to each other. On the tables beside our's, they added extra chairs, and then someone on the other table was allergic to cigarettes, the smoke of which was goin from our table to theirs. Yeah, tables were pretty close.
We were famished, so we quickly ordered the food.
We started off with a banana milkshake, so that we get something soon. This one was good. It was really thick.
For the food, they have Indian desi food, and we felt like ordering everything on the menu.
We started off with a junglee chicken sandwich. This one was delicious. It wasn't dry (like I was expecting), which is a good thing. It was served with a spicy dip, and chips on the side.
Then we had the all time favorite - the pav bhaji. The bhaji was not bad at all, but they could up it a notch. It was served hot.
We also had the keema pav. The keema was yum, and we all loved it. The quantity was good too.
Last, but not the least, I also had the chicken karahi. I asked them to make it spicy, and serve with rice (instead of roti). Both of which they did. This had a lovely flavor to it. The gravy was nice and the chicken was well cooked.
For some drinks again we ordered a buttermilk (sadly then didn't have laban). This was really thick for my liking. It was served in a steal glass that gave a 'desi' feel.
The fresh lime soda wasn't bad either. It was a really nice glass that it was served in.
For the shisha, we had the 1948, which is a mix of Apple, Kiwi, Pan Salsa. The flavor was really good, and was smooth almost throughout. Though really pricey at AED 55, considering the location and the ambiance.
The food was priced reasonable, but the drinks felt expensive.
They've got playing card, and a few board games that are available on request.
