Sugar Factory - Citywalk

This place is much more than just sweets. It is a proper restaurant in itself, unlike what I though from the name. I had seen it many times in Citywalk, but given the name, I didn't go there (as I am not all that much of a sweet tooth person), until they invited me recently.
Of-course, since it is primarily about the sweet stuff, they do have a lot of candies you can choose from.

I like the interiors too. They're black & white, and classy. They have outside seating too; which we chose given the lovely weather.

We started with one of their signature goblets. They have quite a few flavours in this and I chose the passion punch which is a combination of orange and strawberry. They pour it in the goblet in front you, and the smoke starts coming out, and that kept on coming until the end. I totally loved this and we were sipping on it till our meal ended. This one is huge and can easily suffice 2-3 people; at the same time it is really pricey too.

It would be a crime not to order one of their fancy milkshakes here. We had the tie dye milkshake. It consists of vanilla ice-cream and chocolate ganache, topped with whipped cream, and has two cotton candies on the side, and chocolate and rainbow sprinkles on the outside of the glass. We really liked this one, especially since it wasn't overly sweet. The chocolate on the outside also tasted very good. It had a good consistency to it. Not too thick, not too watery, just right.

For some starters, we got a sampler platter so we could taste a little bit of everything. The buffalo wings were spicy and pretty good. The mac and cheese pops was not bad either; it was in the shape of a ball. The crispy chicken fingers were okay. The spiced calamari rings were quite and the onion rings were big and crispy.

They also recommended their popcorn shrimp margarita. It is similar to dynamite shrimp, but the shrimp are a bit crispy. They were big and served along with tartar sauce which made it even more flavourful.

We ordered for a pasta too - the penne pesto. This one was okay. It felt like it lacked flavour and something felt amiss.

I saw the kung pao chicken wok bowl on the menu and decided to give it a shot. It wasn't too bad. The flavour was good, but it felt dry. I had more expectations from this one.

We were quite full, but had to try out some sweet in the end for sure. We had the Angels in heaven waffle. The waffle was topped with fresh strawberries, blueberries, small chocolate chunks, caramelized banana, and not to forget the charcoal ice-cream. The waffle tasted really very good. The berries complemented the waffle very well, and the charcoal ice-cream also did justice to it.

The restaurant feels a little pricey overall, but the service is very good, and staff is attentive.
